My dream was to become a family photographer. I have spent the last year photographing some amazingly beautiful babies, children, couples and families and have enjoyed every last minute of it.

I recently received an email after a session where the family fondly referred to me as "their" photographer. In that moment, my heart skipped a beat, as it was then that I had recognized a part of that dream that hadn't been there before. I learned that it was not a family photographer that I have been working at becoming, but rather a family's photographer.

Same thing, you say? Yep, pretty close. The difference being that I want to be your photographer, one that has a relationship with your family and one that knows you both in front of the lens and outside of the cameras scope. I want to know your children, learn what soothes them and what makes them giggle. I want to be reachable at a moments notice, to celebrate a birth, an accomplishment or to try my luck at capturing a fantastic family photo.

Relatives or grandparents in town? Give me a call. Birthday party? Sure thing. Help with putting together a family album, birth announcement or Christmas card? You betcha. I am here, just give me your ideas and trust me with the rest.

One of the greatest joys in my job is hearing again from a family that I have photographed before. I love seeing how children have grown, that babies have arrived, and that a couple that I took engagement pictures for has set a date for their wedding. Photography commemorates some incredible moments, and it makes me overjoyed to share in these moments with you.
